AW8 Online Casino
Review

AW8 is an online casino and sportsbook aimed mainly at players in Malaysia and Singapore. Its sites claim licences from both PAGCOR and Curaçao Gaming but give no licence number or licensed company, and PAGCOR names aw8.com on its list of reported websites.

AW8 positions itself as the live casino specialist in Malaysia’s crowded online gambling market. While we88 owns slots and Dafabet dominates sports betting, AW8 markets itself mainly on its live dealer games. The platform launched in 2020 with Evolution Gaming as its centerpiece, targeting players who crave authentic casino atmosphere from home.

This review looks at AW8’s licence claims, its welcome bonus terms, and the live dealer tables and game shows it lists.

AW8 Overview: Live Gaming as Priority

AW8 names two different regulators on its own sites: the FAQ on its Malaysian site says it holds a PAGCOR licence, while its About page and a second FAQ answer credit Curaçao Gaming. Neither claim gives a licence number or a licensed company. PAGCOR cancelled all of its internet gaming licences from 15 December 2024 and names aw8.com on its list of reported websites, and the Curaçao Gaming Authority register lists no licensee called AW8. The platform launched in 2020 during the pandemic when live casino demand surged globally—strategic timing that helped establish its market position.

The live-first approach influences every platform decision. Homepage featured games emphasize live dealers. Its welcome bonus, though, counts slots and fishing games only. VIP progression favors live game wagering.

This doesn’t mean AW8 neglects slots or sports betting—both are on offer. But the platform’s heart beats for live casino gaming, and that’s where it invests most heavily.

Quick Facts About AW8

AW8 Welcome Bonus: The 140% Offer Explained

AW8’s promotions page lists a “140% Welcome Bonus” for new members. The 140% applies only at the smallest deposit: the bonus is a fixed amount per deposit band, so it shrinks as a share of larger deposits. AW8’s own pages also disagree on the offer: its FAQ still describes a “150% Welcome Bonus up to RM1,500”, and older text on the promotions page a 150% bonus from MYR 50, but the offer card that can be opened is the 140% one.

Source: the terms in AW8’s 140% Welcome Bonus pop-up on its promotions page (promotion period 15 August 2025 to 31 December 2026), read 10 October 2026. The deposit bands are shown in an image in that pop-up. We do not link to AW8.

Worked example (hypothetical): a MYR 100 deposit earns MYR 69, a 69% bonus rather than 140%. At 15x, that means MYR 1,035 of slot bets if the turnover applies to the bonus only, or MYR 2,535 if it applies to deposit plus bonus. Ask AW8 which base applies before you deposit. Either way, the bonus does nothing for live casino play, which is what AW8 markets itself on.

Cashback and other promotions

AW8’s loss-based offer for live players is the Weekly Live Rescue Bonus: up to MYR 5,888 a week, based on weekly net losses on live casino and sports providers, with the maximum set by VIP tier. The bonus is valid for two days after it is credited, winnings are removed if its conditions are not met in that time, and turnover from it does not count towards rebate promotions. The site’s banners also advertise a 4% daily slot rebate and an instant rebate of up to 0.7% on sports and live casino bets; we did not read separate terms for those. Its promotions list also has a MYR 1,888 bonus for eight Banker or Player wins in a row at live baccarat, with 1x turnover, claimed through customer service within 24 hours (all read 10 October 2026).

VIP programme

AW8’s FAQ (read 10 October 2026) lists four VIP levels, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond, with rebates of 0.3% to 1.0%, birthday bonuses up to RM518, event bonuses and faster customer support and withdrawals. It gives no qualifying amounts and no withdrawal times.

Live Casino Selection: AW8’s Core Focus

Evolution Gaming Tables

Evolution Gaming supplies AW8’s main live casino tables:

Live Baccarat – Dozens of tables spanning speed baccarat, squeeze baccarat, no-commission baccarat, and control squeeze variants. Betting limits range from MYR 5 minimums to VIP tables accepting MYR 200,000+ bets. Private tables available for highest VIP tiers.

Live Blackjack – Classic, VIP, Infinite, Free Bet, and Blackjack Party variants. Infinite Blackjack solves full table problems by letting unlimited players join the same hand. Side bets add action and winning opportunities.

Live Roulette – European, American, French, Lightning, Immersive, and Speed variants. Lightning Roulette applies random 50x–500x multipliers to one to five Lucky Numbers each round; straight-up wins on other numbers pay 29:1 instead of the standard 35:1. Immersive Roulette uses multiple camera angles for cinematic presentation.

Game Shows – Crazy Time, Monopoly Live, Deal or No Deal Live, Mega Ball, and Adventures Beyond Wonderland. These entertainment-focused games blend casino gaming with TV show formats, appealing to players wanting more than traditional table games.

Poker Variants – Three Card Poker, Caribbean Stud, Texas Hold’em Bonus, and Casino Hold’em provide poker action against dealers rather than other players.

Asian Live Gaming Specialists

Beyond Evolution, AW8 partners with Asia-focused providers:

Asia Gaming – Live dealer games specifically designed for Asian players with local dealer languages and regional game preferences.

Sexy Gaming – Visually-appealing live dealers hosting baccarat, dragon tiger, and roulette games popular in Asian markets.

Pragmatic Play Live – Additional baccarat, blackjack, and roulette tables providing variety and different betting limits.

Ezugi – More live options including specialty games like Lucky 7 and Andar Bahar popular in Indian and Asian markets.

Having several providers means more tables to choose from.

HD Streaming Quality

All live games stream in HD quality. The platform uses adaptive streaming that adjusts quality based on connection speed.

Interactive chat functions let you communicate with dealers and other players. Multiple camera angles on select games provide immersive viewing.

Slot Games and Other Offerings

Slots (600+ Titles)

While not AW8’s primary focus, the slot library covers essentials from Pragmatic Play, Microgaming, Play’n GO, and NetEnt. Popular titles like Gates of Olympus, Sweet Bonanza, and Starburst are present. The selection satisfies casual slot play but doesn’t compete with we88’s 1,200+ library.

Sports Betting

Basic sportsbook covering major football leagues and popular sports. The betting platform works adequately for casual sports fans but doesn’t rival Dafabet or BK8 in depth.

Mobile Experience

AW8 has a mobile-optimized website, and its live casino games can be played in a mobile browser.

Payment Methods at AW8

E-Wallets and Banking

Touch ‘n Go, GrabPay, Boost, and DuitNow are listed for deposits; AW8’s FAQ says deposits are typically processed instantly. Bank transfers via FPX connect major Malaysian banks.

Min deposit: MYR 30
Min withdrawal: MYR 50
Daily withdrawal cap: not verified in this review; confirm the amount, period and account tier

Withdrawal Processing

AW8 gives no separate time for e-wallet withdrawals, and its own pages disagree on how long withdrawals take: the FAQ on its Malaysian site says they “typically take between 15 minutes to 24 hours, depending on the selected payment method”, while its About Us page says it processes “most withdrawals in under 15 minutes”. It gives no time for VIP members.

Customer Support

AW8’s FAQ lists 24/7 support by live chat, email and phone; it publishes no response times.

English, Chinese, and Malay support available. The help center includes live casino specific FAQs explaining different game variants and betting strategies.

Security and Fair Play

• SSL encryption for data protection
• No verifiable licence: PAGCOR and Curaçao Gaming claims give no licence number, and PAGCOR names aw8.com on its list of reported websites
• Evolution Gaming’s certified live dealer systems
• Testing-lab certification claimed (LGMS, iTech Labs), with no certificate linked
• Responsible gambling tools (deposit limits, self-exclusion)

Should You Choose AW8?

No. AW8 claims a PAGCOR licence, but PAGCOR lists aw8.com among websites using its logo without permission, and neither licence AW8 names comes with a licence number or company. If you are choosing a casino, compare the casinos that passed our licence check.

Final Verdict

AW8 is built around live casino, but that does not outweigh the licence: it claims a PAGCOR licence, and PAGCOR lists aw8.com among websites using its logo without permission, so we do not recommend it. Its welcome bonus counts slots and fishing games only, so it does little for the live casino players AW8 targets.

Its live tables come from Evolution Gaming, Asia Gaming, Sexy Gaming and other providers.

For players who primarily enjoy live dealer games, these are the features on offer, but they come without a licence we could verify. Their loss-based offer, the Weekly Live Rescue Bonus, is valid for only two days after it is credited.
